Where I went wrong

 My first mistake was calling my self a fashion blogger, because in all honesty fashion makes up about 20% percent of who I am. Don't get me wrong I love a great pair of distressed jeans paired with the perfect pair of boots and an equally esthetically pleasing shirt and trench coat just as much as the next person... But am I as passionate about fashion as other "fashion bloggers?" I doubt it.

First 24 hours of my hiatus and how I already fucked it up....

OK, so lets be honest I would like to spend most of my weekends in boxers and a tank top praying that I don't have anything to catch up on. In the unfortunate event that I do have some obligations I try to minimize the amount of effort I need to put into my look.Now my style can either be crazy complex or painfully simple but most times I like describe my look as honest. Today I wanted to look in  control (Blazer) but not too serious (Jeans), intimidating (Bad ass leather booties)but not a prude (beanie). This look is comfortable and cool. Never mind how effortless it was to put together. This outfit brings new meaning to the phrase "I'm a t-shirt & jeans type of girl." And that is perfect for me...... plus I was short on time.

THIS TRENCH THO?

This look is inspired by this TRENCH COAT! I live in Florida where you just don't get many opportunities to wear such fabulous coats. Main reason being that the forecast here is either hot, hotter, wet and hot, wet and sticky, cold for an hour and then hot or all of the above over a 24 hour period. So when I put this outfit together I had a choice to make. It was either I wore it and documented this sexy thug mentality moment while sweating like nobodies business or I tuck it away in hopes of one day hel...I mean Florida freezing over. I was already wearing the hoodie and jeans but felt a little blah so I threw on the trench and beanie and BOOM Kanye to the rescue haha. I decided to tie it all together with a pair of suede camel boots and a sexy red lip and I was out the door and feelin' myself...

BLUE OMBRE HAIR FOR THE LOW

 

This hairstyle is hands down one of my favorite. I cant even lie I felt cool AF with this hair lol. To accomplish this look I used 2 1/4 packs of hair and hair color by Manic Panic.

Now this hair shed like crazy but I'm no rookie to pack hair so I knew what to expect. The shedding could have been avoided if I had sealed the wefts before installing which I usually do but it was 2am and "ain't nobody have time fa dat" but do as I say not as do and you will be just fine. You can buy weft sealer online and sometimes at your local beauty supply store. You can also make it yourself using nail polish I will do a video one that for inquiring minds. Keep in mind that Manic Panic is a temporary hair color so it does bleed when wet. AKA do not wear a white shirt while dancing in the rain and everything will just fine :-)

--REMEMBER--

This tutorial is intended to save you money and with big savings comes big responsibility You want tangle free hair you actually have to detangle it. You want to pay temporary color prices you will have to take temporary color precautions like not going to bed with wet hair (which you shouldn't be doing anyway.) My hair last 3 weeks it could have been longer but due to the cap the sweat and oil build up is real. That's why quick weaves should not be worn longer than 2-3 weeks so that you can cleanse your scalp and hair. Again I do quick weaves using pack hair all the time so I know what to expect and how to handle my hair with care so I don't have any complaints regarding this hair. If your a newbie is may be a bit of culture shock but stick a around you may learn a lil' somethin'

When you think of Edge the last color you think of is GREEN. No offense to people who love green but it’s just not my color. The plus side of all of this is NO nosy neighbors making me all nervous just a shit load of cars driving by ...with people in them......staring... making me nervous. (o_0)

STRIPE TEE NO SHADE

I think that I should start by pointing out the fact that the title of this post is pretty amazing! If you didn't get a chance to see it I really think you should use this time to do so I'll wait..........lol. This look was inspired by the fact that I only had 10 minutes to get dressed after taking FOREVER  to do my make up! Also that rush is the reason why there are no close up pictures of details such as my make up and shoes :-(

This is just a little somethin' somethin' I threw together to combat the Florida heat. I'm not comfortable with my sexy but I'm trying to feel more comfortable with showing skin, its not easy for me. The thigh high boots main service was to cover up majority of my legs because I wasn't wearing jeans. It worked out but wearing shorts really opened my eyes at how insecure I really was. I don't hate my body and I am comfortable being plus size. I don't think I'm ugly but I still don't like other people to see my body if that makes any sense. I like for people to see me and think that I'm pretty and stylish but never sexy!
But I will get into that some other time.....

ENCOURAGMENT: JUST F*CKING START

Truth is most of the time the route you plan to take will not be the road traveled.  When this happens the most important thing you have to remember is that you can still reach your destination. Me? I’m a planner to a fault, I don’t make a move unless I have a solid course of action. The problem I constantly face with that is....I won’t make a move until I’m in a position to do things EXACTLY as I planned and not a moment before...that was my first mistake.
